NEW ORLEANS – Completing a stretch of four road contests in five games, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball program will travel for a 7 p.m. game Thursday at New Orleans at Lakefront Arena, followed by a 3:30 p.m. Saturday contest at Nicholls at Stopher Gym.

It will be the second of back-to-back games for A&M-Corpus Christi (16-7, 3-3 SLC) against first-place New Orleans (13-9, 6-1 SLC). The Privateers took the first one 79-70 last Thursday in Corpus Christi.

Junior
Trevian Tennyson scored a team-high 15 points, junior
Jalen Jackson added 14 and junior
Isaac Mushila tallied a double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Mushila has won two Southland Conference Player of the Week awards this season. He averages 15.2 points and 9.7 rebounds per outing, including 16.5 points and 13.2 rebounds in conference. Mushila has nine double-doubles on the year including two in a row. Mushila, who did not start until the fifth game, has netted over 20 points five times.

Along with Mushila, Tennyson averages in double-figures with 12.6 points per game including 14.0 in conference. Tennyson has hit a three-pointer in every game this year and poured in a career-high 23 points against Nicholls in the semifinals of the SLC Preseason Tipoff.

Terrion Murdix ranks second in the league in assists (3.9 apg) and averages 12.5 points per game in conference.

Myles Smith continues to climb the school record books. He ranks fourth all-time in three-pointers made (151), sixth in assists (275), seventh in minutes (3,044) and ninth in double-figure scoring games (56). Smith has scored 1,131 points and is averaging 8.1 points per game this year.

Senior
Simeon Fryer is the only student-athlete on the roster to start in every game this year. He's shooting .351 from long range which is a significant improvement from his .224 from last year. Fryer is averaging 7.4 points per game.

The Privateers will look to shake-off their first conference loss of the season 78-70 at UIW on Saturday. Derek St. Hilaire is the league's leading scorer with 21.0 points per game including 25.0 points in conference.

Nicholls (14-9, 4-2 SLC) has the SLC's second leading scorer in Ty Gordon who nets 19.4 points per outing. The Colonels have won three in a row with road victories at McNeese 81-71, HBU 73-61 and UIW 63-60.

- A&M-Corpus Christi has more than tripled its win total from last season when it finished 5-19 overall.

- The Islanders are 4-4 on the road and can move over .500 with a win.

- A&M-Corpus Christi ranks seventh in the nation in turnovers forced per game (17.9). Individually, Mushila is 18th in the country in rebounding (9.7 rpg) and 20th in offensive rebounding (3.3 orpg).

- In addition to the categories where they rank nationally, the Islanders lead the SLC in scoring defense (69.2 ppg), steals (8.96 spg) and turnover margin (+3.87).

- All 13 student-athletes that have played for A&M-Corpus Christi this year have scored in double-figures in a game. The 13 is tied for the most in the nation with Bowling Green.

- A&M-Corpus Christi is 11-0 this season when leading at half and 11-0 when holding the opposition to under 70 points.

- A&M-Corpus Christi is the only team in the SLC to have received votes this year in the CollegeInsider Mid Major Top-25 Poll.
