A&M-Corpus Christi Hires Randall & Kasperitis to Soccer Staff

February 21, 2022

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's soccer program announced the additions of Nicole Randall as Assistant Coach and Patrick Kasperitis as Volunteer Coach.

Randall comes from Idaho where she served in the same role since 2018. Kasperitis is a Corpus Christi native and played soccer both collegiately and at Flour Bluff HS.

"Nicole is one of the best female assistants in the country. We are very lucky to be able to steal her from a top DI program to help transform our midfield," said head coach Craig Shaw. "It's great to have someone of Patrick's ability in town that can develop our young keepers. He's coached goalkeepers at the high school, college and semi-pro levels."

Randall is coming off a 10-6-2 season with the Vandals. The 10 wins were the third most in program history and they also posted the third-best winning percentage. In the Spring 2021 season, the Vandals recorded four clean sheets. Four Vandals earned All-Big Sky accolades, including Taylor Brust who was named to the Second Team.  In her first year with the team, the Vandals finished 9-7-3 and earned the No. 2 seed in the Big Sky Conference Tournament with a 6-1-2 conference mark.   The Vandals conceded the fewest goals in a season in team history.  Idaho also posted a home record of 6-0-1, going undefeated in Moscow for the third time in the last four years.  Six student-athletes earned All-Big Sky recognition, including Kelly Dopke as Defensive Most Valuable Player and Makayla Presgrave as co-Goalkeeper of the Year.   Prior to Idaho, Randall spent two years at Allen Community College in Kansas where she helped lead the Red Devils to back-to-back Region VI Tournament appearances.   Prior to Allen, Randall spent three seasons at Fort Hays State, the first as a graduate assistant and the following two as an assistant coach. Randall helped the Tigers to a record of 31-21-6 in her three years on staff. She helped guide FHSU to a third-place finish in the MIAA standings in 2014, the program's highest finish in conference play in team history. Randall played at FHSU from 2011-12 after transferring from Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College. She was a key part of Fort Hays State's MIAA Tournament Championship run in 2012 as the team knocked off the No. 3, No. 2, and No. 1 seeds to earn the conference's automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Tournament. She played in a total of 40 matches at FHSU over two years, finishing with one goal and three assists.
In her two years at Hutchinson CC, she was an all-conference first team selection as a freshman and all-conference second team selection as a sophomore. She also earned all-region honors both years. Randall is a native of Wichita, Kansas. She holds a masters degree in Health and Human Performance from Fort Hays State University.

Kasperitis attended St. Mary's University where he played as a goalkeeper from 2009-2013. Upon graduation and the conclusion of his playing career, he was offered the opportunity to continue working with the school as an assistant coach for the women's soccer program working under long-time head coach Corwyn Ritch. Kasperitis worked with the goalkeepers in addition to other responsibilities. In 2015, the team qualified for the Heartland Conference Tournament for the 10th year in a row on the back of setting the program record for consecutive shutouts and minutes without conceding a goal.

After graduating in 2016 with a master's degree in Education Leadership, Kasperitis accepted a position as West Campus Director at Albion Hurricanes FC in Houston, Texas. In 2018, Kasperitis returned to the Coastal Bend to begin working at Gregory-Portland High School as a teacher and Head Coach of the Boys Soccer Team. In 2020, his team qualified for the playoffs in a season that was cut short by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

In addition to his responsibilities with the high school, he has been active in the local soccer community holding various roles with the youth soccer club, Dynamo- Coastal Bend and as an assistant coach with the USL League 2 Team, Corpus Christi FC, as their goalkeepers coach.

Kasperitis currently has his C License from the United States Soccer Federation and his national Goalkeeping Diploma from the United Soccer Coaches (formerly, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America).
