Driving layups by Anguera and Aguado evened the game 9-all after the Islanders got behind, but Stony Brook went on a 7-2 run to pull back ahead. Serrata's long-range shot at the 0:21 mark cut the deficit to two with the Seawolves leading 16-14 at the end of the first.
