CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Concluding the fall on a high note, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi golf program topped UTRGV 5-2 after 18 holes at Lozano Golf Club on Saturday.
Â
All seven student-athletes competed for the Islanders and it resulted in four wins, a pair of ties and one defeat.
Â
"What a good way to end the fall season but to win a match play event. We want to thank UTRGV for traveling up for the day and playing. This is an event that we will plan on doing every fall season. Next season, the Islanders will plan on traveling to McAllen to defend. I'm very proud of our team and excited about getting into the offseason and preparing for the championship season in the spring," said head coach
Pat Stephens.
