"I'm excited to see Nick get an opportunity with the Minnesota Twins. He was an outstanding student-athlete in his time on The Island and there is no doubt he will flourish at the next level," said Islanders head coach Scott Malone. "Great things happen for great people, and there's no doubt Nick will cherish this well-deserved opportunity."

Anderson cranked 13 homers in his time at A&M-Corpus Christi, including five in each his sophomore and junior years.

Anderson started his professional career with the River City Rascals in 2019. After the COVID-19 year in 2020, he played for the Houston Apollos where he was hitting for a .382 average and 1.036 OPS in 2021.
