CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi soccer program added a student-athlete to each position with the signing of Jenna Bodron, Ellie Fox, Rayven Storm Harris and Emily Levy, announced by Head Coach
Craig Shaw.
Â
All four will be true freshmen with four years of eligibility remaining, and three are Texas natives.
Â
Bodron is a 5-7 defender from Kingwood, Texas. She played club for Houston Dash GA2 and high school for Kingwood HS. Bodron tallied six goals, six assists, 22 shots and 15 shots on goal in 2019-20 and played in the Region 3 Finals.
Â
Bodron earned All-State Honorable Mention in 2020 and was selected to the All-Region First-Team and All-District First-Team that same season. She's a three-time Academic All-District honoree and was named Overall MVP in 2018
Â
"Jenna is someone who is going to be able to add size and a physical threat in what ever position she ends up playing. She can cover any spot in the back line as well as the defensive mid position. Even though she can be an enforcer she also is very calm on the ball to play the way we want. Her sister played for Nicholls State so she knows very well what she needs to do to be successful in the SLC," said Shaw.
Â
Fox is a 5-4 midfielder out of Dallas. She played club with Sting Soccer ECNL Royal and high school at The Covenant School she led the Knights to the state final and won her senior year.
Â
Fox is a four-time All-District First-Team selection, four-time All-State First-Team honoree and All-Tournament MVP of State. She was also a Newcomer of the Year recipient. Fox registered 93 goals and 84 assists in four years, including 30 goals and 18 assists as a senior.
Â
"Ellie is a great last minute pick up. She is a midfielder in the style I really like to play as she is possession based and hardly gives the ball away. Her adjustment to college will be helped by her Sting Club teammates that have already signed for us. She is going to grow into a great college player," said Shaw.
Â
Storm is a 5-4 forward from Garland Texas. She played club at Sting Black 03G ECNL and a part of a regional championship team that traveled to Colorado for nationals. In high school at Sachse HS, she guided the team to three district championships.
Â
Harris was the leading scorer for both her club and high school teams. She was a two-time All-District First-Team selection.
Â
"Storm has just added more speed to what might be the fastest front line in the conference. In addition to being extremely fast, what we liked about her is that she wants the ball to her feet. She does not always look to make it a track meet. That excites us about her as we like to play possession and she fits perfectly into that," said Shaw.
Â
Levy is a 5-10 goalkeeper from Las Vegas, Nevada. She played club with Heat FC ECNL and high school at Desert Oasis HS.
Â
Levy was selected for the regional camp Champions of 2020 Surf Cup in Arizona as part of Olympic Development Program (ODP).
Â
"Emily is a goalkeeper of great presence and stature who still moves really well in her 5-10 frame. She has played at a very high level and comes in very well prepared to battle with Zoe and Kennedy. We will probably have the best battle for the starting spot since my arrival, and that is what you need in the goalkeeper position," Shaw said.
Â
Bodron will be pursing a degree in marine biology/environment science, Fox in business, Harris in psychology and Levy in communications and business.
