Day One Press Release
BEAUMONT, Texas – In its final regular season meet, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi golf program finished in fourth-place out of 11 teams after two days at the Lamar Cardinal Challenge at Beaumont Country Club.

The Islanders entered the final round in fifth but surpassed the host Lamar in round three. For the tournament, A&M-Corpus Christi carded a
307-311-312—930.

It was the program's fourth top-five finish in the last five meets.

Freshman
Lucie Charbonnier led the team in the tournament. She shot a team-low round of 74 on day one and closed it out with another team best of 75 on day two. Charbonnier ended with a 228 to take 12th overall.

Both sophomore
Lucy Martinez and senior
Kellsey Sample registered a 77 in round three. Martinez's final score was a
78-75-77—230, while Sample was three strokes behind with a
77-79-77—233.

Junior
Kelli Ann Dugan turned in a
78-78-87—243, while freshman
Reese Drezins tallied an
83-82-83—248.

Competing as an individual was sophomore
Maria Beltran who etched a
76-82-85—243.

A&M-Corpus Christi will now turn its attention to the 2021 Southland Conference Championships on April 19-21 in El Dorado, Arkansas.
