BEAUMONT, Texas – The fourth-seeded Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's tennis program advanced to the semifinals of the Southland Conference Tournament with a 5-0 win over fifth-seeded Northwestern State on Saturday at the Beaumont Municipal Tennis Center.

A&M-Corpus Christi got off to a quick start by winning the doubles point with victories from its two All-Conference pairs. Sophomores Mariya Shumeika and Camille Townsend won 6-1 at No. 1, and freshmen Emma Aucagne and Emma Honore clinched it with a 6-3 victory at No. 2.

In singles, Aucagne – the SLC Freshman of the Year – added another victory to her resume with a 6-0, 6-3 decision at No. 4.

Fellow All-Conference selections Honore and freshman Leopoldine Boisseau were also victorious. Honore registered a 6-2, 6-3 result at No. 3, while Boisseau tallied a 6-2, 6-3 decision at No. 5.
