Women’s Tennis Preps for Big SLC Home Matches against SFA, SHSU

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Riding a five-match winning-streak, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's tennis program will welcome Stephen F. Austin at 1 p.m. Friday and Sam Houston at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Henry Tennis Center.

A&M-Corpus Christi (13-1, 3-0 SLC) has only dropped one court in three conference matches so far. They are coming off home wins of 6-1 over Southeastern Louisiana and 7-0 over McNeese after sweeping Northwestern State 7-0 on the road to begin league action.

"This is what we've trained for all year. These Southland Conference battles are what we've been working and sacrificing for since September! We talk so much about earning the right to be confident and these girls have definitely done that. They believe in their fitness and they should because they've work incredibly hard! We have tremendous respect for Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston and we know we will have to play every point with intensity – not four out of five. But I love the character, heart and toughness of this team," said head coach Steve Moore.
