AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's tennis program will put its undefeated record at stake Saturday when it travels to No. 5 Texas for a 2:30 p.m. match at the Texas Tennis Center.
The Islanders are 9-0 this year and more than half of their wins are sweeps. Most recently, they took down Prairie View A&M in a pair of 6-1 matches after beating UL-Lafayette 4-1.
"This Islanders team does all the things you appreciate and respect as a coach. They are incredibly motivated and work as hard as you could ask a team to work. They are a disciplined group that is very close knit. They are improving rapidly every day. I love their character and team unity. They have competed with great tenacity in every match so far this year. We are incredibly excited for our journey to Austin and a chance to battle the defending national champions," said head coach
Steve Moore.
A&M-Corpus Christi has won back-to-back men's SLC Player of the Week awards. Freshman
