CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – In its final home game of the season, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball program will host New Orleans at 7 p.m. Wednesday on Senior Night at the American Bank Center.

The game between A&M-Corpus Christi (4-16, 1-10 SLC) and UNO (5-13, 4-6 SLC) is sponsored by Gulf Coast Federal Credit Union.

The Islanders will honor five student-athletes for Senior Night including
Javae Lampkins,
Myles Smith,
Perry Francois,
Peyton Smith and
Nolan Bertain. All five are on pace to graduate with degrees this spring.

A&M-Corpus Christi will look to avenge an earlier defeat to the Privateers this season. UNO finished on top 87-68 on Jan. 20 but Bertain turned in a strong outing of 15 points and six rebounds. The Islanders fell behind by 22 points in the first half before the offense got rolling in the second.

In the team's last outing, A&M-Corpus Christi dropped a tough 78-75 contest to Southeastern Louisiana, which hit a last-second three-pointer. Sophomore
Jalen White netted 20 points, while junior
De'Lazarus Keys submitted a double-double of a career-high 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Prior to SLU, the Islanders posted 77-68 victory over Lamar on Saturday. They used an all-around team effort and shot 8-of-19 (.421) from three-point range. White shined with a game-high 21 points and eight rebounds. Keys also excelled with 15 points and eight rebounds.

The Islanders have used a balanced scoring attack as seven different student-athletes average at least 8.0 points per game. White leads the way with 11.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per outing. He has a pair of double-doubles on the year.

Keys is the team's leading rebounder with 6.7 per game. Keys, who missed the entire non-conference slate due to injury, has scored at least 15 points in each of the last three games.

The Privateers were in action Monday and defeated Central Arkansas 88-63 at home. UNO is 4-2 at home but 0-10 on the road this year.

Damion Rossier leads the team with 15.9 points and 7.4 rebounds this year. He ranks second in the conference in minutes played with 34.3. Rossier finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds in the first meeting this year.

Perry Francois ranks fourth in the SLC in blocks with 1.2 per game. He averages 8.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game and is shooting a team-high .600 from the field, including .545 in conference.
