CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Southland Conference office announced its soccer All-Conference Teams Tuesday, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi earned four selections. Junior
Samantha Palomino and freshman
Emma Crump were named to the Second-Team, and senior
Reaghan Lang and sophomore
Maggie Murray were tabbed to the Third-Team.

It marked just the second time in program history that A&M-Corpus Christi landed four All-Conference honorees.

"I'm very proud of these young ladies. Sam and Reaghan learned new positions this year. Crump was honored as a freshman and Maggie played through injuries. This shows the culture and chemistry of this team and program," said head coach
Craig Shaw.

Palomino, who transitioned from defense to forward, was a two-time SLC Offensive Player of the Week winner. She led the team and ranked third in the league in goals with six. Palomino also ranked first on the team in points with 14 and shots on goal with 18. Two of her goals were game-winners. Palomino posted a team-high .857 shots on goal percentage. She started in all 18 games.

Crump came in and earned a starting role as center back. She logged over 1500 minutes and started in 17 of 18 games. Crump scored the game-winning goal at Southeastern in a 1-0 win. She tallied eight shots and three shots on goal in the season. Crump ranked second on the team in total minutes played. She won SLC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 25. Crump anchored a defense that posted six shutouts on the year including four in conference.

Lang, a midfielder, led the team in assists with three and was second on the team in goals with four. Her four goals tied for seventh in the conference. Lang totaled 17 points with 19 shots and 13 shots on goal. She played in all 18 contests and took a leadership role upon herself as the only senior on the squad.

Murray, a forward, scored three goals and tallied an assist on the year for seven points total. She registered 13 shots and 10 shots on goal. All three of her goals came in conference in matches including the game-winner against McNeese at home.

A&M-Corpus Christi will host the 2021 SLC Championship at Dugan Stadium on Nov. 3-7. The Islanders will battle Southeastern at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the quarterfinals.
