Softball falls to Texas State in weekday matchup

-  The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi softball team fell in a single contest to Texas State University, 4-1, Wednesday night in San Marcos, Texas. 
- A&M-Corpus Christi's overall record moves to 5-14 entering conference play this week. The Bobcats improve to 13-7. 

Key Statistics and Sequences
- The Bobcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning via a three-run home run to left center field. 
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi added a run in the top of the 3rd to cut Texas State's lead to, 3-1. After reaching first on a fielder's choice, junior Tiler Noyola stole second and was brought around to score courtesy of a RBI double to right center field from freshman Sydney Hoyt
- The Bobcats responded instantly in the next half inning with timely base running, as the Bobcats got the run back after stealing home. 
- Both squads remained scoreless for the next three and a half innings, as Texas State claimed the 4-1 victory over the Blue and Green 
- Noyola led the offense with two hits, while Alyssa Miller and Hoyt each recorded one. 
- Jenika Lombrana got her tenth start in the circle this season, throwing a complete game and giving up four earned runs on six hits. She threw a total of 135 pitches and struck out two batters.
