LAST TIME VS NEW ORLEANS
- The Islanders defeated the University of New Orleans, 74-71, on Jan 22, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the American Bank Center in the first meeting this season.
- Jashawn Talton-Thomas scored a game-high 21 points with four rebounds and an assist. He was 8-for-11 from the field and hit all three of his long range attempts.
- Irshaad Hunte came of the bench to score 15 points, going a perfect 5-for-5 from the field while leading the team in rebounding with six. He knocked down five free throws, added a steal and blocked a shot.

- Head coach Willis Wilson has won 134 games since arriving on the Island and is now tied with former coach Ronnie Arrow for the most victories at A&M-Corpus Christi.
- Arrow was the first head coach in program history, coaching from 1999-07.

- In conference only games, Myles Smith enters Saturday's contest ranked No. 5 in free throw percentage (87.0), No. 6 in assists (3.9), No. 12 in assist to turnover ration (1.1) and No. 18 in scoring (12.8).
- In conference, the Islanders are allowing just 69.7 points per contest, the third lowest mark.

- Entering the weekend, Myles Smith ranks 40th nationally with an 86.3 free throw percentage, ranking third in the Southland.
- The Islanders three-point field goal percentage of 36.4 percent also ranks third in the conference and is No. 42 nationally.
- New Orleans is No. 31 nationally with a 75.9 free throw percentage but ranks 341st in three point attempts with just 405 on the season.
