Story Headlines
- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi baseball team earned its first win of the 2020 season, defeating Kansas State 5-2 in a night game at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi, Texas.
- The game was part of the 2020 Kleberg Bank College Classic.
- Trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the third, the Blue and Green scored four runs in the inning as well as a run in the bottom of fifth to complete the comeback.

- The Islanders were led on offense by 
Scott Hastings, who collected three hits in four at bats and two RBI.

Tristan Welch gave A&M-Corpus Christi the lead on a two RBI double.

Pitching Notables

Hayden Thomas got the start on the bump, tossing five complete innings on 96 pitches. He allowed two earned runs on two hits with three walks. He also recorded a game high five strikeouts. 
- 
Daniel Nelson came in relief for the final four innings, giving up only two hits against 15 batters faced. He joined Thomas with five strikeouts.
