Men's basketball nearly pulls off comeback at HBU

- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi men's basketball team fell to Houston Baptist, 82-77, at Sharp Gymnasium in Houston, Texas, on Saturday evening.
- Despite trailing 41-24 at the break, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi outscored the Huskies, 53-41 in the second frame to force a deciding final minutes of play.
- Jordan Hairston scored in double figures for the ninth time this season, finishing with a game-high 22 points. He was 8-for-11 from the field and hit all four of his free throw attempts. He has now scored 20 or more points three times this season.
