LAST TIME VS STEPHEN F. AUSTIN
- The Islanders got one of the biggest wins of the season last year in a 65-55 road victory at SFA in the lone meeting on Feb. 20, 2019.
- Former Islander
Kareem South scored a career-high 29 points on 12-of-22 shooting with five three pointers. He also grabbed 12 rebounds for his first career double-double.
- A&M-Corpus Christi got a boost by starting the game on a 17-0 run. SFA didn't score until the 13:23 mark of the first half, going 0-for-8 from the field during the stretch. South paced the Islander attack with 11 points, making his first three three-point attempts of the evening.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi led 27-24 at the break and outscored SFA, 38-31, in the second half.
- South hit 5-of-10 three point attempts and grabbed three offensive rebounds.

Emmanuel Toney scored 12 points with seven rebounds, six assists and two steals in 38 minutes of action. He hit a pair of three pointers finishing 5-of-11 from the field.

Elijah Schmidt scored eight points with six rebounds, three coming on the offensive glass. He had one block and one steal defensively.
BENCH CONTRIBUTIONS
- Saturday's game against Southeastern Louisiana saw five Islanders score in double figures. That last time that happened was back on Feb. 8, 2017, against the Lions in an 80-75 victory in Corpus Christi.
- Irshaad "Iggy" Hunte led the way with a career-high 18 points. The senior has seen increasing minutes in the past three games, averaging 18.3 minutes compared to the 6.7 minutes he was averaging in the first 10 games he played in.
- The other bench contribution was
Javae Lampkins who knocked down a career-high three three-pointers on Saturday, finishing with 11 points in his first double-digit scoring performance in his Islander career.
- Lampkins has also seen increased duty in the past three games, having his number called for 10.3 minutes compared to the 4.2 minutes he averaged in his first nine contests.
- A&M-Corpus Christi's bench outscored the Lions, 31-12 (+19), the largest output and margin of the season.
TALTON-THOMAS' IMPACT
- Senior Talton-Thomas has been one of the stat-sheet stuffers for the Islanders this season. Despite drawing consistent double-teams, the senior has scored in double figures nine times this year and leads the team in rebounding and assists.
- He is the only player in the Southland to be in the the top-10 in both rebounding (9th - 6.8) and assists (8th - 3.3).
