- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball team won its fourth consecutive game, defeating the University of the Incarnate Word, 64-38, on Saturday afternoon inside the McDermott Center in San Antonio, Texas.
- With the win, A&M-Corpus Christi moves to 13-6 overall and 7-2 in the Southland. UIW falls to 8-9 and 4-3 in conference action.
- The Islanders improve their all-time series lead over Incarnate Word to 11-2, including a 5-2 record in San Antonio.
- In a matchup of two of the top scoring defenses in the Southland, the blue and green allowed a season low 38 points, holding the Cardinals scoreless for the 7:31 of the first quarter. It marks the second time this season and twice in the last three games that the Islanders have limited their opposition to under 40 points.

- A&M-Corpus Christi jumped out to a quick first quarter lead, outscoring Incarnate Word, 16-4 in the first frame. After the Cardinals trimmed the lead to single digits at halftime, 28-19, the blue and green outscored UIW 25-14 and 11-5 in the final two frames for the 26 point victory.
- Three Islanders reached double digit scoring as Coleman-O'Bryan led the way with 15 points, followed by Bryant with 13 and Westbrook with 11.
- Coleman-O'Bryan has now reached double figures four times in the past five games. She also added five rebounds and two assists against the Cardinals.
- Bryant continues to roll in the Southland as the Cibolo, Texas native, added five rebounds along with three assists. In the last three games, Bryant has been averaging 18.3 points/game and 8.3 rebounds/game.

- The Islanders and Cardinals were even in the battle of the boards, as each squad grabbed 36 rebounds. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi also held one of the top three point shooting teams in the conference to just 20-percent from beyond the arc.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi collected 38 of its points inside the paint, shooting 53.1-percent from the field. It marked the second straight game the Islanders have shot over 50-percent from the field.
- The defense held UIW to just 21-8-percent shooting from the field while forcing 15 turnovers on eight steals, resulting in 20 points off of turnovers. Westbrook led the defense with three steals.

- Booth added one block to her career count in today's contest, bringing her all-time total to 117. She is now just eight blocks away from taking over the top spot of 125.
- Booth's three rebounds on the defensive end put her just one away from tying the No. 9 spot of 349.
- Coleman-O'Bryan's one steal against the Cardinals gives her sole possession of the No. 8 spot all-time in career steals with 126.
- Westbrook's 11 points today tie her career high, which was set at Texas A&M on Dec. 29.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is now 5-1 when holding their opponents to under 50 points.
