LAST SEASON VS ABILENE CHRISTIAN
- The Wildcats won both contests last season.
- In the first matchup in Abilene back on Jan. 30, Irshaad Hunte scored a then career-high 15 points with six rebounds.
- But the Islanders couldn't recover from an ACU 40-point first half and fell, 78-71.
- Kareem South and Tre Gray each had 16 points as the Islanders shot 54.3 percent from the field (25-for-46).
- In the second meeting, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi scored 46 second-half points but the Islanders fell at home, 73-64, on Feb. 27.
- Jashawn Talton-Thomas scored 18 points with six rebounds and four assists.
- South scored 15 points and Hunte added nine with five rebounds, a blocked shot and a steal.

TWO YEARS, TWO WINS AT SFA
- For the second year in a row, the Islanders picked up a road win at Stephen F. Austin with a 73-72 victory on Wednesday evening. It was the first home loss and conference lost for the Lumberjacks this season, who received votes in last week's AP top-25 poll.
- Peyton Smith scored a career-high 12 points. His previous high was 11 against St. Thomas on Nov. 23, 2019, earlier this season. He tied a career-high with five assists with four rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot.
- All nine A&M-Corpus Christi players who saw the court scored at least four points.
- Javae Lampkins tied a career-high with 11 points, knocking down three three pointers. He added two rebounds in his second-straight game in double figures.
- Tony Lewis was 5-for-7 from the field and hit his only three-point attempt to score 11 points. He had a team-high five rebounds and added an assist.

LAMPKINS EARNS HIS MINUTES
- One of the Islanders who has stepped into important minutes in the past two games has been Javae Lampkins.
- Lampkins has averaged 11.0 points and 21 minutes per game in the past two Islander contests. He has knocked down 6-of-11 three point attempts (54.5 percent) in those two games.
- Prior to those two games, Lampkins was averaging 1.5 points and 5.09 minutes.

THE WIN LIST
- Head coach Willis Wilson has won 130 games since arriving on the Island and is on pace to become the program's all-time win leader.
- Wilson needs just four more wins to tie Ronnie Arrow at 134 victories.
- Arrow was the first head coach in program history, coaching from 1999-07.
