FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball team will play at Missouri State in the opening round of the 2019 Preseason WNIT. The Islanders will play in Springfield, Mo., on Friday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. CST. The winner of that game will face the winner of Boise State and Portland State on Sunday, Nov. 10. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi was one of the 16 teams selected to the 26th
Preseason WNIT Tournament. The November advancement tournament features a three-game guarantee with games hosted a the participating schools. The championship game will be televised live on CBS Sports Network on Sunday, Nov. 17.
A&M-Corpus Christi went on a three-game run at the 2019 Southland Conference Tournament to reach the title game for just the second time in program history. The Islanders upset Nicholls and Stephen F. Austin on back-to-back nights after an opening round win over New Orleans. The team will return 12 players from the 2018-19 roster.
