Softball falls to ACU on Friday

Story Headlines
- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi softball team fell to Abilene Christian in a Friday doubleheader in Abilene, Texas.
- The Islanders are now 3-20 in conference play while the Wildcats moved to 5-18 in Southland action.
- ACU won the first game 7-4, and took the second game, 12-1.

Game One Key Statistics
- The Islanders scored four runs on nine hits with two errors. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi got one run in the first, two in the third and one in the fifth.
- Kandace Johnson was 2-for-3 at the plate with a double. She drove in a pair of runs.
- Sammi Thomas was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. She recorded a double in the third inning.
- Kennedy Johnson was 1-for-4 with a double.
- Whitney Wendel was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. She hit a triple in the third inning.
