Silvas played four seasons at Richard King High School in Corpus Christi, Texas ... helped lead the Mustangs to three straight playoff appearances and holds the school record for batting average with a .602 mark ... as a senior, she was named the team's MVP, capturing the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year honors from King HS ... was a four-time all-district performer and was named to the All-South Texas team twice ... graduated in the top 11 percent of her graduating class ... was a member of the Permanent Honor Roll ... as a sophomore, she was the team's Defensive Player of the Year and earned an All-District Academic first team honor ... her sister, Celeste Silvas, played softball at Southwestern University.
