SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball team (13-13, 7-8 Southland) aims to clinch the program's third consecutive Southland Conference Tournament berth in Saturday afternoon's rematch at Incarnate Word (4-22, 4-11 Southland), facing the Cardinals at 1 p.m. in San Antonio, Texas. In this season's first contest between the two programs, the Islanders dismantled the Cardinals in a 57-49 Homecoming victory, holding off a late UIW surge behind a double-double from
Alexes Bryant (15/10) and an 11-point game from
Emma Young. All-time, the Blue & Green have dominated Incarnate Word, notching a 10-1 overall mark with a 4-1 road record.
