CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball program (13-11, 7-6 Southland) closes out a two-game home stretch with Southland No. 2 Lamar (20-5, 13-1 Southland) on Saturday afternoon, tipoff against the Cardinals scheduled for 1 p.m. at the American Bank Center. The key league contest will serve as a rematch of a 76-58 road loss the Islanders suffered earlier this season, a game in which Lamar pulled away early despite strong performances from juniors
Dae Dae Evans (18) and
Emma Young (15). All-time, the Blue & Green sit seven games back of the Cardinals, owning a 9-16 overall mark and a 5-6 record at home.

After wrapping up the back-to-back home stretch, the Islanders pack their bags for the final time this season, traveling to Abilene Christian on Wednesday, Feb. 27 for a 6 p.m. matchup against the Wildcats and Incarnate Word on Saturday, Mar. 2. for a 1 p.m. rematch with the Cardinals.
