Late Islander rally falls short in loss at HBU

- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi men's basketball team fell to Houston Baptist, 73-72, at Sharp Gym in Houston, Texas, on Saturday evening.
- The Islanders fall to 9-12 overall and 4-4 in Southland Conference action. The Huskies improved to 7-13 overall and 3-6 in league play.
- Kareem South scored a career-high 24 points on 8-of-19 shooting. He hit 5-of-6 free throws, connected on three three-pointers and led the team with eight rebounds and four assists.
