Men's Basketball opens Southland road trip with UNO loss

Story Headlines
- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi men's basketball program was unable to seal a series sweep over New Orleans on Saturday afternoon, dropping a tough road contest to the Privateers, 68-58, at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, La.
- The Islanders fall to 10-15 overall and 5-7 in Southland Conference action while UNO improves to 14-10 overall and 9-4 in league play.
- Junior Elijah Schmidt led the way with 11 points and six rebounds while sophomore Tre Gray and fellow junior Tony Lewis each notched 10 points on the day. Meanwhile, senior Emmanuel Toney posted team-bests in both rebounds (7) and assists (4) while contributing seven points.
