HUNTSVILLE, Texas -- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball program (12-9, 6-4 Southland) aims to clinch the series sweep over Sam Houston State (12-9, 7-4 Southland) in Wednesday evening's road matchup, tipoff with the Bearkats scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum. The Islanders nearly routed SHSU earlier this season in Corpus Christi, knocking off the Bearkats by a 76-61 margin behind notable performances from

Alexes Bryant (14) and
Emma Young (12). All-time, the Blue & Green have proven tough against Sam Houston State, sitting at 19-9 overall with a 7-6 road record.
