LAST SEASON VS. CENTRAL ARKANSAS
- The Bears ended the Islanders' season in the first round of the Southland Conference Tournament back on March 13, 2019, in Katy, Texas, with a 73-53 victory.
- Jashawn Talton scored a team-high 17 points with eight rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal. He hit all three free throw attempts and connected on a pair of three pointers.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi grabbed 11 offensive rebounds and scored 14 second chance points.
- Jake Babic scored 16 points with four three pointers. He had a pair of rebounds and did not commit a turnover.
- During the regular season, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beat UCA, 87-75, at the American Bank Center in the Southland opener.
- Four Islanders scored in double figures led by Kareem South (22), Emmanuel Toney (13), Talton-Thomas (12) and Elijah Schmidt (11).
- Schmidt also recorded his first double-double of the year, leading the team with 13 rebounds including four on the offensive end. He added two steals, a block and an assist.

THE WIN LIST
- Head coach Willis Wilson has won 128 games since arriving on the Island and is on pace to become the program's all-time win leader.
- Wilson needs just six more wins to tie Ronnie Arrow at 134 victories.
- Arrow was the first head coach in program history, coaching from 1999-07.

MYLES RUNS THE SHOW
- Junior guard Myles Smith has been a handful in each of his past six games. Smith has scored in double figures in all six game and averaged 18.0 points per game in that stretch.
- He has also been extremely efficient from the charity stripe, knocking down 33-of-40 attempts (82.5 percent)
- Already this season, Smith has scored 20 or more points on three occasions  and is averaging a career-high 31.6 minutes per contest.
- Smith missed the majority of the 2018-19 season due to injury.

HAIRSTON'S MEMORABLE SEC DEBUT
- In just his fourth collegiate game, Jordan Hairston nearly made history with an outstanding performance at SEC member Texas A&M.
- The freshman knocked down six three pointers in the first half and finished with a game and career-high 25 points in the upset attempt of the Aggies.
