SOUTH TEXAS SHOWDOWN
- Thursday's game will be the second meeting of the South Texas Showdown, presented by NavyArmy Community Credit Union.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi won the first meeting, 61-50, at the Dugan Wellness Center on Saturday, Nov. 23. 
- The winner of this game will receive three points in the season-long competition.
- There is also an attendance point up for grabs as the team with the biggest home crowd will receive an additional one point.

ISLANDER NOTABLES
- As a team, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi has out rebounded its last six opponents and is currently ranked No. 10 in the nation in rebounding margin (13.0). 
- Senior guard Emma Young collected four defensive rebounds against Texas Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon, moving her up to the No. 7 spot on the all-time list for career rebounds (369). 
- Senior guard Dalesia Booth recorded one steal vs. the Rams, bringing her career total to 128, which is good for No. 6 all-time. Fellow senior Dae Dae Evans is No. 5 all-time in career steals with 140. 
- Freshman guard Olivia Dowden recorded a breakout games for the Islanders vs. Texas Wesleyan, catching fire from beyond the arc. Olivia nailed four three-point baskets and finished the game with 14 total points, all of which came in the fourth quarter. 
- Alecia Westbrook also had her best game in her young career in the blue and green, leading the team with nine rebounds and recording six points in only 16 minutes of action. 
- Collectively, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi went 10-of-19 from three against the Rams, marking the first time the Islanders have knocked down 10+ three point field goals since Nov. 11, 2017 vs. UTRGV. 

UTRGV NOTABLES
- The Vaqueros enter Thursday's matchup with a 5-3 overall record, defeating Texas A&M-International 72-56 on Saturday. 
- UTRGV currently owns a 5-1 record at home and are on a three game winning streak. 
- Trelynn Tyler and Jordan Agustus both average double figures per game, as Tyler averages 16.0 points/game while Agustus averages 14.1 points/game. 
- As a team, UTRGV shoots .329 from beyond the arc and averages 6.9 three point baskets/game. 
- Against A&M-International, three Vaqueros reached double figures in scoring including Desirea Buerge (17), Tyler (16) and Zhane Templeton (13). 
- Agustus also leads the team in rebounding at 7.3 rebounds/game.
