Women's basketball defeats St. Edward's 61-45 in exhibition

Story Headlines
- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball team defeated St. Edward's University, 61-45, in an exhibition game on Friday night at the American Bank Center. 
- After leading at the half, 24-19, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi outscored the Hilltoppers 37-26 in the second half to pull away for the 16-point victory. 
- A&M-Corpus Christi out rebounded St. Edward's 50-27, of which 16 were on the offensive glass.  

Key Islander Statistics
- Senior guard Dalesia Booth led Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with 19 points, shooting 7-of-13 from the floor. Tiara Matthews also recorded 10 points along with eight rebounds. 
- Both Dae Dae Evans and Alexes Bryant scored eight points, while Bryant added two blocks. 
- Arhianna Sims-Jackson led the Islanders with three blocked shots and added five points. 
- Every player for A&M-Corpus Christi recorded at least one rebound and 10 different Islanders scored two or more points. 
- Collectively, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi dished out nine assists compared to the Hilltoppers three.
