Soccer captures most wins in program history with victory over ACU

Story Headlines
- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi team soccer upset Abilene Christian University by a score of 2-1 on Friday night at the Dr. Jack Dugan Soccer and Track & Field Stadium.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi moves to 7-5-1 and 4-1-1 in conference action, while ACU falls to 8-3-2 and 4-1-1 in the Southland. 
- The Islanders have now set the program record for most wins in a single season with seven. The previous record was six, set back in 2017. 
- A&M-Corpus Christi has tied its longest win streak in program history with three-straight victories (2015). 
- Kyleigh Hall is now the record holder for single season wins by a goalkeeper with seven. 
- Addison Urbanus and Kayla Gove each scored in tonight's match. 
- A&M-Corpus Christi remains unbeaten in its last five matches and completes its home stand with a perfect 3-0 record. 

Key Islander Statistics
- Urbanus scored the first goal of the match for the Islanders in the 22nd minute with the assist coming from Emma Gibbs
- Gove added the game winner in the 86th minute of play unassisted. 
- Collectively, A&M-Corpus Christi recorded 11 total shots with eight on goal compared to the Lady Wildcats' 18 with six coming on goal. 
- Abby Deakin led the team with three total shots and two on goal. Gove and Reaghan Lang each recorded two shots apiece. 
- Dana Curtis, Larissa Fagundes and Madeleine Lozano also recorded a shot.
