Islanders return home for Wednesday matchup against ACU

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball program (10-7, 4-2 Southland) sets its sights on the home upset as third-ranked Abilene Christian (13-6, 6-2 Southland) visits Corpus Christi on Wednesday evening, tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Dugan Wellness Center. The Islanders split the home-and-home with the Wildcats last season, dropping a two-point road decision early before locking up a decisive late-February victory behind double-digit performances from Emma Young (18), Dalesia Booth (14) and Dae Dae Evans (13).

  • Royce Chadwick enters his seventh season leading Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and 35th overall year as head coach, sporting a 653-409 record.

After wrapping up the one-game home stand against Abilene Christian, the Islanders return to road action in the team's February-opener against Houston Baptist, squaring off with the Huskies on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. in Houston, Texas.
