CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball program (10-6, 4-1 Southland) returns to the road Wednesday evening in a key matchup at Nicholls State (10-8, 4-2 Southland), tipoff set for 6 p.m. at Stopher Gym in Thibodaux, La. Despite the Islanders powering past the Colonels 76-55 in last year's regular-season clash, Nicholls State managed to cut short TAMU-CC's run in the Southland Conference Tournament, sealing a two-point victory in the quarterfinal matchup. All-time, the Blue & Green own an even split with the Colonels, sitting at an 8-8 overall mark with a 2-5 road record.
