Series Closer Against Abilene Christian

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas-  After splitting the doubleheader against Abilene Christian on Friday, the Islanders fell in the final game of the series on Saturday. The Blue and Green came out strong shutting out the Wildcats in the first 5 innings before they came out to score 3 in the 6th and 3 in the 7th, winning 6-1.

IN THE CIRCLE
>> Junior, Ashley Smith, started in the circle for the Islanders before Sophomore, Kandace Johnson came in in the top of the 6th
>> Smith had 2 strikeouts on the day and no walks

AT THE PLATE
>> The Islanders were outhit by the Wildcats 7-3
>> Kaylee Hoppens, Whitney Wendel, and Destiney Diaz all went 1-for-3 at the plate
