BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – After starting the weekend 1-1 the Islanders took on the Arizona Wildcats and the Alabama-Birmingham Blazers.

Arizona vs. Corpus Christi (4-1)
Â
The Blue and Green's second pairing in
Rachel Young (Frisco, Texas) and
Madison Green (Dripping Springs, Texas) took the win over the Wildcats' Olivia Hallaran and Kacey Nady in two close sets, 21-19 and 21-18.

The Islanders first pairing in
Selina Marolf (Bern, Switzerland) and
Abigail DeVido (Ashburn, Virginia) fell in two close sets 18-21 and 19-21.
Madi Fitzsimmons (Murphy, Texas) and
Maya Daukas (Santa Monica, California) fell in set one 15-21 and in set two 16-21. Â The Wildcats had the edge over the Islanders number four pairing
Demi McInnis (Cypress, Texas) and
Chloe Simon (Katy, Texas) 12-21 and 12-21.
Jenna Krenek (Houston, Texas) and
Naomi Overstreet (Oakland, California) fell 10-21 in set one and fought hard falling in set two 12-21.

Alabama-Birmingham vs. Corpus Christi (5-0)

Islanders number two pairing in Green and Young fell in the first set against the blazers 22-24 but took set two in fashion 21-13 and fell 6-15 in set three. The Islanders fifth pairing, Krenek and Overstreet, took set one 22-20 and fell in the second and third 8-21 and 13-15.

Pair one, DeVido and Marolf fell in set one 17-21 and set two 5-21. Number three pairing in McInnis and Fitzsimmons and fell in two sets 21-23 and 16-21.
Kayla Walker (Murrieta, California) and Daukas made of the fourth pairing and fell 11-21 and 16-21.
