KINGSVILLE, Texas – Islanders Beach Volleyball wraps up day one of the Texas A&M Kingsville Tournament with two victories. The Islanders defeated the Tarleton State Texans 5-0 and the New Orleans Privateers 3-2.

The Islanders top pairing of
Selina Marolf and
Abigail DeVido defeated Tarleton State's Blanca Izquierdo and Adriana Darthuy in two sets with scores 21-10 and 22-20. The pair defeated New Orleans Rachel Kuhn and Cara Sander 21-18 and 21-19.

The second pairing
Madison Green and
Rachel Young defeated the Texans' Charlotte Bradshaw and Jordyn Keamo 21-13 in the first set and 21-13 in the second set. Green and Young continued their winning ways against UNO 21-18 and 21-12.

Madi Fitzsimmons and
Demi McInnis pair together as the Islanders third duo on the sand. They took the first set 21-14 and the second set 21-11. The pair were victorious against the UNO Privateers 21-18 and 21-14.

The fourth pairing for the Islanders in
Kayla Walker and
Chloe Simon were victorious after taking down Adrianna Knutson and Hannah McManus in two sets, with the scores 21-12 and 21-8. The Privateers' Grice and Schumacher took down the Islanders fourth pairing 21-12 in set one and 21-19 and set two.

Naomi Overstreet and
Jenna Krenek pair together as Corpus Christi's fifth duo. They took down Michaela Rodriguez and Amber Strange 21-12 in the first set and 21-8 in the second set. Overstreet and Krenek fell to UNO 21-18 in both sets.
