Corpus Christi, Texas - Texas A&M-Corpus Christi went head-to-head for the second time against Utah State before facing Texas Southern in the final game of the tournament at Cabaniss field. The Aggies defeated the Blue and Green 15-0 in 5 innings off of their 17 hits. Shortly after, the Islanders came out strong before falling in the 5th inning against the Tigers.
Game One
Kandace Johnson took the pitchers circle in the first game of the day. She struck out 2 batters and walked 3. The 7 hits Utah State had in the top of the 2nd inning allowed them to score 7 making the score 9-0. A two-run-homerun in the top of the 4th and 4 runs in the top of the 5th increased the lead to 15-0.Â
