CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi took home the win against UIW this Saturday, dropping the visiting Cardinals by a count of 75-59. The night was emotional for Islander seniors Brittany Mbamalu and Kre'Ana Henry as the pair gave their farewells to the Islander Nation in their last home game at Corpus Christi Athletic Club Court, inside American Bank Center.
The Blue and Green's 16-point win guarantees them a spot in the Southland Conference, and moves the side into fourth overall in the current conference standings. With just two games remaining in the regular season, Corpus Christi can guarantee a bye week to begin this year's tournament and continue their active two-game win streak.
