• Mbamalu's 23 pushed her into 1,000 career points, making her the eighth Islander in history to reach the mark all-time
• Emma Young recorded 10 points, five assists and five boards against the Bearkats, the fourth time she's put up five-plus in three different categories this season
• Corpus Christi's six rejections against SHSU are one short of a season-high for the islanders
• Mbamalu's two blocks against the Bearkats tie a career-high, while Uri Jolivette's two against New Orleans also tie a career-high
• The Blue and Green are a perfect 9-0 when leading at the half this season, and 0-8 when losing or otherwise
• Sitting 23rd in the country and second in the Southland Conference, the Islanders are giving up an average of just 56.4 points per game
• Dalesia Booth is the strongest blocker in the SLC, recording a conference-high of 26 blocks and 1.63 rejections per contest
• Mbamalu's 252 career threes are a program record, and rank 11th among active Division I players
• With 70 wins, Head Coach Royce Chadwick and his staff are just four victories away from becoming the winningest islanders coaching staff in program history, in just their sixth year on the Island

SCOUTING THE COLONELS

• Sitting 25th in D-I women's basketball with 11.1 steals per game, Nicholls is one of four SLC teams sitting in the top-25 concerning that category
• Junior guard Cassidy Barrios has won SLC Player of the Week honors twice this year, leading the conference in rebounds (163), minutes played (629) and double-doubles (8)
• Averaging 2.47 three-pointers per game, Tykeria Williams is shooting the second best average from beyond the arc in the SLC (37.4%)
• Barrios is also averaging over a block per game, and is just short of averaging a double-double per contest (14.8 ppg/9.9 rpg)
• Nicholls currently sits 5th in the Southland, looking for their seventh straight trip to the conference tournament

COMING UP NEXT
