CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi softball team has set its camp dates for the summer. Under head coach
Blake Miller, the Islanders will hold 10 different camps throughout June, July and August.
HITTING CAMPS | June 13 & July 17 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Campers will receive personalized instruction focused on the development of their skills and their approaches to hitting, as well as experience the pace of an Islanders Softball practice. All ages are open to participate.
PITCHING CAMPS | June 14 & July 18 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Campers will work with the Islanders coaching and pitching staff, which finished the year with the most strikeouts in the Southland Conference, to develop of their skills in the circle. All ages are open to participate.
CATCHING CAMPS | June 14 & July 18 | 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Participants will go through a Division I style practice with the Islanders coaching staff, while working through their skills behind the plate. All ages are open to participate.
ONE DAY SKILLS CAMP | June 13 | 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
One-day skills camp will be run almost identically to a mid-season Islanders Practice. The Islanders coaching staff will break down fundamentals and progress to the highlight plays. Ages are limited to 13-18.
ALL SKILLS CAMP | June 20-22 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Campers will join the Islanders to learn, execute, and show off your skills in our all skills camp. We will execute a planned schedule of fundamentals and progress into scrimmages. Ages are limited to 5-12.
ELITE CAMP |
Aug. 12, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. | Aug. 13, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The Islanders Softball elite camp offer top players the opportunity to further enhance their game, and are a great opportunity to show off their skills in a competitive atmosphere, while learning new skills. The goal of this camp is to prepare you for an elite level competition and allow campers to experience first-hand how the Islanders teach, practice, and play games on the Island.
All camps will be held at Chapman Field at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Each camp one-day camp is $60, while the All Skills Camp costs $110 and the Elite Camp $190.
