MONROE, La. – Wrapping up the ULM Bayou Beach Bash, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi was upended by an undefeated Central Arkansas squad Saturday morning.

The Islanders top pairing of
Madi Fitzsimmons and
Madison Green went back and forth with the Bears top duo of Megan Nash and Haley Tippet. The Islanders dropped the opening set 21-12 as the Bears were able to extend a cushion, but the second set proved much closer. Green and Fitzsimmons battled to the wire, but fell 21-19.

Morgan Carlson and
Mallory Moran also had a strong fight with UCA's Kristine Hjembo and Stephanie Pollnow. The opening set saw the Islanders fall 21-17 before UCA clinched the number two match with a 21-13 score in the second.

Madison Woods and
Mackenzie Coates paired together to form the Islanders third duo on the sand. Facing Heather Schnars and Kate Elman, Woods and Coates could not duplicate their Saturday success, falling 21-11, 21-15.

In the fourth spot,
Kelsee Felux and
Claire Karsten were toppled 21-18 in a tight opening set. In the second, UCA built momentum and pulled away to a 21-11 decision. At five,
Naomi Overstreet and
Morgan Williams were bested 21-11, 21-9 as UCA completed the sweep.

In an exhibition match,
Mary Kate Katarzynski and
Madeleine Doud fell 21-14, 21-17.
