Beach Battles Three Opponents at ULM

Corpus Christi returns to action in second tournament of season

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas—The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beach volleyball team returns to action with a trio of matches at the ULM Bayou Beach Bash in Monroe, La.

The Islanders will face Louisiana-Monroe, TCU and Central Arkansas over the course of the two-day event.

Corpus Christi will open the weekend against the host Warhawks at 9 a.m. on Friday morning. The Islanders and Warhawks have already met once on the season with ULM claiming the win. The previous clash came at last weekend's Third Coast Classic hosted by Houston Baptist.

Following Friday morning's match against ULM, the Blue and Green will challenge TCU for the first time this season at noon. The Islanders and Horned Frogs are slated to meet again on the final day of the season, April 22, in Corpus Christi.

The Islanders will close the weekend on Saturday against Central Arkansas. Southland rivals in every other sport, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Central Arkansas are meeting for the first time ever on the sand. First serve against the Bears is set for 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

A&M-Corpus Christi will face each of these three opponents once more throughout the season. The Islanders are scheduled to play their next home match on April 22 against TCU and Texas A&M-Kingsville.
