CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Jamie Morgan will join Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Athletics as the Associate Athletics Director for Business, beginning Monday, December 11.

Morgan comes to the Island from Texas A&M-Commerce, where she has served for over seven years. Since 2016, Morgan has held the title of Financial Reporting and Reconciliations Manager in the Business Administration office at Commerce.

Morgan is also a veteran of the collegiate athletics realm, serving the Lions as the Director of Athletic Business Affairs prior to returning to the Business Administration office. With the Lions, she was responsible for creating and managing the annual budget for the athletics department along with overseeing over 150 accounts. Morgan will hold a similar role with the Islanders, managing the day-to-day budgeting, spending and reconciliations for the department.

This will be a big boost for our department as she will be able to hit the ground running and assist our coaches, staff and teams with allocating our resources in the best possible manner."

A graduate of Texas A&M-Commerce, Morgan got her start as a Financial Reporting Accountant at her alma mater in 2010. She made her way up through the Financial Services office, being promoted to Accountant II in 2012 before being named a Senior Accountant in 2014. Throughout her time in Financial Services, Morgan's work was closely tied to the athletics department, assisting in budget management for three years before moving over into athletics in 2015.

Morgan holds a Master of Business Administration with a minor in accounting along with a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy, both from Texas A&M-Commerce.
