CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Athletic Department saw 142 student-athletes recognized for their academic achievement for the spring semester on the 2025 Southland Conference Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll, released by the league Monday.
To earn a spot on the Southland Commissioner's List, a student-athlete must have earned at least a 3.0 GPA and have been eligible to compete in their sport.
Every spring sport at A&M-Corpus Christi was represented with the breakdown being 34 baseball, 16 men's basketball, 11 women's basketball, 13 beach volleyball, five women's golf, 19 softball, seven men's tennis, eight women's tennis, 12 men's track & field, and 17 women's track & field. The 142 student-athletes tops last spring's total of 134 showing the continued excellence in academics for A&M-Corpus Christi.
Additionally, Islanders Athletics is now at 22 straight semesters with a department cumulative GPA above a 3.0.
The honors come on top of Islanders Athletics now being the recipient of the Southland Conference Academic Performance Award and the Women's All Sports Award for the fourth year in a row which was announced earlier this spring.
