Islanders Host Lamar on $1 Night

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball returns home to Corpus Christi Athletic Club Court at the American Bank Center for the first time in over a month when the Islanders host Lamar Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
 
Saturday's game is part of a doubleheader as the Islander women will also host Lamar. Tip-off for the women's game is set for 5 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
 
The Islanders hold a narrow 9-8 edge all-time over Lamar. Corpus Christi has won each of the past three meetings and four of the past five.
 
Historically, the matchup has been one of the most competitive series with six of the last seven meetings being decided by single digits.
 
LAST MEETING
 
>> Corpus Christi earned a 70-63 victory in the American Bank Center on February 18 to complete the sweep of the Cardinals a season ago.
>> Rashawn Thomas scored 29 for the Islanders while Kilgore dropped in 12.

>> Lamar snapped a four-game skid with its win over Houston Baptist Thursday night.
>> Colton Weisbrod leads the Cardinals with 14.5 ppg while Nick Garth provides an outside threat and 11.4 ppg.
>> Weisbrod is also the leader on the glass with 8.7 rpg.
>> Josh Nzeakor gives the Cardinals a third double digit score with an average of 10.8 ppg.
