CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Looking for a change of fortunes on the road, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi heads to Lamar for a Wednesday night showdown on the American Sports Network.
 
The Islanders and Cardinals will meet for the first time this season with the 8 p.m. tip-off carried locally on KDF-TV (check local listings).

• With the road troubles the Islanders have faced, Wednesday's trip to Lamar may be just what the doctor ordered.

• Despite the loss at Sam Houston State, the Islanders did see junior Joseph Kilgore produce his biggest night since November 16.
• Kilgore dropped 24 against the Bearkats, hitting a season-high three 3-pointers.

• A high-pressure team, Lamar ranks 13th nationally in turnovers forced, averaging 17 per contest.
• Colton Weisbrod leads the Cardinals with 15.5 points per game a grabs a conference-best 9.0 rebounds per game.
• Nick Garth averages 11.5 and hits .456 from beyond the arc.
• Joey Frenchwood sits just shy of double figures at 9.5 points per game.
