Caldwell Relieved of Duties as Head Soccer Coach

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Director of Athletics Scott Lazenby has relieved head soccer coach Shanna Caldwell and assistant coach Anne Houliston of their duties.

Caldwell led the Islanders to a 14-50-6 mark over four seasons as the program's head coach.  In Southland matches, A&M-Corpus Christi was 12-30-3 under Caldwell who has led the Islanders since the program's inaugural season in 2013.

Houliston joined the Islanders staff in 2015, serving as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the past two seasons.

"We would like to thank coach Caldwell and coach Houliston for their dedication in starting and building the women's soccer program," said Lazenby. "We feel that it is in the best interest of the program to head in a different direction moving forward."

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi will launch a national search for the second coach in Islanders soccer history.
