Allie Hoang joined the Islanders Athletics staff in March 2024 as the Community and Events Coordinator.
Making an immediate impact, Hoang jumped straight into aiding the department's two biggest fundraising events with the Islanders Athletic Fund Golf Classic in April and the Casino Night Fundraiser in August which saw a record-breaking amount raised of $168,000.
Hoang has also helped develop and execute several community events during her time already, including Happy Hour Meet and Greets, Coffee with Coaches, and Breakfast with Champions.
Prior to coming to the Island, Hoang played a vital role within the Office of Institutional Advancement and Athletic Department at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), delivering in important operational areas and carrying out special projects and initiatives that strengthened the athletic programs and unversity overall.
Hoang was a student-athlete herself at SWOSU, having played five seasons for the volleyball team as setter where she became the program leader in career assists and service aces. She was a four-time All-Conference selection including earning back-to-back First Team honors her last two seasons with the Dawgs. At the conclusion of the 2021-22 academic year, Hoang was named SWOSU's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year. To end her athletic career, she was also named to the Great American Conference Setter of the Year.
Hoang earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from SWOSU in 2021 before continuing her education there to earn her master's degree in Sports Management in 2022.
