Patrick Kasperitis joined the Islanders soccer program as Volunteer Coach in spring 2022. A native of Corpus Christi, he played soccer at Flour Bluff HS.
In college, Kasperitis attended St. Mary's University where he played as a goalkeeper from 2009-2013. Upon graduation and the conclusion of his playing career, he was offered the opportunity to continue working with the school as an assistant coach for the women's soccer program working under long-time head coach Corwyn Ritch. Kasperitis worked with the goalkeepers in addition to other responsibilities. In 2015, the team qualified for the Heartland Conference Tournament for the 10th year in a row on the back of setting the program record for consecutive shutouts and minutes without conceding a goal.
After graduating in 2016 with a master's degree in Education Leadership, Kasperitis accepted a position as West Campus Director at Albion Hurricanes FC in Houston, Texas. In 2018, Kasperitis returned to the Coastal Bend to begin working at Gregory-Portland High School as a teacher and Head Coach of the Boys Soccer Team. In 2020, his team qualified for the playoffs in a season that was cut short by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
In addition to his responsibilities with the high school, he has been active in the local soccer community holding various roles with the youth soccer club, Dynamo- Coastal Bend and as an assistant coach with the USL League 2 Team, Corpus Christi FC, as their goalkeepers coach.
Kasperitis currently has his C License from the United States Soccer Federation and his national Goalkeeping Diploma from the United Soccer Coaches (formerly, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America).
