JUNIOR YEAR: Joined the team as a walk-on for the spring semester … played in four events in the spring, capping her season with an 18th-place finish at the Southland Conference Championship, scoring 232 … averaged 84.3 over her four tournaments.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four years for Terry Ling at Ingleside … averaged 74 her senior season, winning district and regionals … placed ninth in the state and was named team MVP … averaged 75 as a junior, 76 as a sophomore and 77 as a freshman … won district all four years and took regional title as a junior … team won district all four years … also was a cheerleader for four years.

PERSONAL: Mary Katherine Belser was born on June 9, 1989, in Corpus Christi … parents are Kathy and David Belser … has one brother, Doug Yeamans … majoring in education.
